As an instinctive clutter bunny, and someone with no ‘natural eye’, creating beautiful spaces in my home was always going to be a challenge for me. I lack the time, patience and eye for detail that is required on such projects, plus have limited or no knowledge of where to start when sourcing furniture, lighting, paints and fabrics.
Sam has helped me on numerous different projects and every time I have been delighted with the end result. She brings great energy and enthusiasm to each project, and generates endless concepts and ideas to suit our budget and taste. She listens to my preferences, but also encourages me to be brave in my choices, and I have never regretted heeding her advice. She is sensitive to our needs as a family and the day-to-day practicalities of our house, and balances these expertly with aesthetics and design flair.
Sam has been behind the re-styling of kitchens, bedrooms and sitting rooms for me. For all of these projects, she has been able to source wonderful one-off vintage pieces, as well as providing links to contemporary websites, and accompanying me on shopping trips. Her knowledge of what is available – new, reclaimed, vintage – is extensive and invaluable. Each time, everything is brought together harmoniously in ways I could not have envisaged at the outset, and as a family, we all now take pleasure in the transformed spaces in our home.

From the outset, Samantha inspired me with her enthusiasm and vision for my project. I was finding it impossible to see the house as a ‘whole’ and failing miserably to choose the right paint colours, fabrics, furniture, lighting etc. Samantha spent time asking about how each space is used and showing me images to gain an insight into what I liked and didn’t like in different styles and themes. She encouraged me to be bold, realising that I like a dramatic effect long before I knew it myself. Samantha didn’t try to impose her own style on me but instead, listened carefully to my thoughts and concerns and guided me towards the right choices. She has boundless ideas and energy and focuses on the detail as much as on the big picture. I now feel that I have a much clearer understanding of the style I like and have even been bold enough to buy a few pieces myself. And she has approved! The final result is a home that we all love. It feels elegant and calm but also warm and welcoming. Visitors are amazed by the transformation and compliments abound.

Sam has made me fall in love with my home again! She has an amazing ability to turn a tired space into something gorgeous, often with very little. Her eye for detail and beautiful pieces means that my house is now full of little corners that make my heart sing. Sam has helped me with complete room make-overs, seeing the project through from beginning to end including enlisting the help any necessary trades people. Whether it’s consulting, designing, sourcing or styling, Sam has it covered. She has an ability to get things sorted extremely quickly and efficiently, working with you to find solutions on both a practical and aesthetic level. Every time she comes, she works her magic and leaves my home (and me!) looking and felling fabulous!

I have never used an interior designer before as I always thought it wasn’t for me and our budget would never be high end enough, but in desperation of not being able to make any decisions during our extension I asked Sam (who I met through her Instagram page) to help. And I’m so glad I did; in just one meeting she uncluttered all my crazy ideas into a succinct beautiful scheme which I love, she saved us from making a mistake with our kitchen design (and money to correct it) that we hadn’t even spotted and introduced me to some wonderful small retailers. Sam is exceptionally good at sourcing products – especially when my ‘wish list’ was out of budget she was able to find similar more affordable alternatives. What I loved most about Sam was her honesty and her ability to bring a room together whilst taking into account my own tastes and budget.

Sam, from Vintage Curator Interiors, has proved to be a bit of an ace up my sleeve. I've used her on several design projects now to source authentic vintage pieces for me. She has an instinctual understanding of the items I need or may like, even when the brief has changed from project to project. She is quick, reliable, thoroughly professional, and a genius at finding the perfect pieces within the given budget. She's taken all the pain out of sourcing for me, leaving me to concentrate on the bigger picture. Not to mention her own personal style is absolutely enviable. I'd thoroughly recommend working with her, on every level.

With a previously rented property to sell in a very depressing state I called upon Sams expert help. In no time at all, with a visit to her own emporium of vintage finds, plus a couple of other well chosen shops she had completely transformed the house. She turned it around in a couple of days taking it from dated and drab to fresh and funky, ready for the estate agents photographer to showcase. A sale at the desired price was not long to follow.
She has a fantastic eye for finding vintage pieces and mixing old and new. She has built up a vast directory of what to buy and where, saving both time and cost for her customers. This is all done with an infectious energy and enthusiasm which can’t help but inspire you. Sam is a whirlwind of knowledge and style who will transform your property with a great look that you will love. This could be with a full makeover but she is also an expert at finding one-off pieces that will fit beautifully with an existing scheme.
